CaterBid Concierge

Prepare a catering sourcing request, follow its status and compare the bids in your own CaterBid account. US events can request sourcing even where registered caterer coverage is unverified. Availability and fulfillment require confirmation.

Connect your account

Start the account connection from your supported platform. Sign in using your existing verified CaterBid customer account, read the requested permissions and choose whether to allow the connection. Enter your password only on CaterBid's sign-in page.

During the restricted pilot, only invited customer accounts and registered platform clients can connect. Directory approval and public availability are separate from this documentation.

Prepare and submit an event

  1. In CaterBid's venue page, enter the complete event street address. The disclosed lookup sends the address to the U.S. Census Bureau. Confirm the returned address and give its venue reference to your platform.
  2. Confirm your existing verified email on the contact page and give its contact reference to your platform.
  3. Tell your platform the event title, date and timezone, guest count, food and dietary needs, and total or per-person budget.
  4. Open the CaterBid review link and check the complete brief, venue, email and calculated total budget. Confirm the exact sourcing request there.
  5. Return to the platform and ask it to submit the confirmed brief. Keep the returned request reference for status and bid comparisons.

Confirmation does not submit or book the request by itself. A disabled pilot can prepare and review briefs while submissions remain unavailable. Changing the brief requires a fresh review. Retrying the same submitted brief returns the original request.

Understand your bids

The connector shows actual offered base amounts from your request. Customer fees, taxes, delivery, staffing, included services, expiry, dietary suitability and current availability may be unknown. A base amount is not a verified final total. Provider descriptions are claims to check with the caterer. An empty result means no bids are available.

The connector does not make payments, book catering, accept a bid, send provider messages or access administrator tools.

Disconnect and get help

Use your connected platforms to disconnect a grant. Access through that connection stops immediately. Previously submitted requests remain in CaterBid; disconnecting does not cancel an event or erase a platform's existing conversation.

For connection help, request cancellation or deletion assistance, contact concierge@cater-bid.com. Read the connector privacy notice and CaterBid terms.

For platform reviewers

This service offers MCP over HTTPS at /mcp, protected-resource discovery at /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource and OAuth server discovery at /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server. Public authorization-code clients use mandatory PKCE S256 and exact registered HTTPS redirects. Resource-specific permissions are requests:read and requests:write. Access tokens expire within ten minutes; refresh-token and dynamic-registration flows are not offered.

Coordinate your exact client identifier and redirect URLs with CaterBid before connection testing. Do not use the owner's personal credentials for review. Customer browser confirmation is separate from MCP authorization; no tool can grant consent or confirm a brief.
