CaterBid connector privacy notice
This notice describes the CaterBid Concierge connector. It supplements the CaterBid privacy policy with the connector-specific account, location and platform data flows described below.
Account linking and permissions
When you connect a platform, CaterBid verifies your existing customer account and records the platform client, granted permissions, authorization records and browser session. Your password is checked in CaterBid's sign-in service and is not returned through connector tools or sent to the connected platform.
The connected platform receives the results of the tools you permit. These can include your event brief, confirmed venue and contact email, request reference and status, and your actual bids and their descriptions. The platform handles the conversation and these results under its own privacy policy.
Event and location information
CaterBid stores the event details you provide: title, date, timezone, guest count, budget, meal and dietary requirements, confirmed venue and verified contact email. Include only the meal requirements needed for catering; avoid unnecessary medical history or information about other people.
Using the venue lookup sends the address you enter to the U.S. Census Bureau's geocoding service. That service returns a standardized address and coordinates calculated along a street address range. It does not establish a precise delivery entrance. The address is sent only after you use the lookup button; your CaterBid password, contact email and full event brief are not included in that lookup.
Submitted requests remain in CaterBid's existing customer request workflow. Event details may be visible to participating caterers through that workflow. The connector does not itself send provider emails or messages.
Storage and expiration
Browser sessions expire within one hour. OAuth access tokens expire within ten minutes; platform grants expire within one day. Unsubmitted event drafts expire within thirty minutes, pending venue review within ten minutes, and saved venue/contact references within thirty days. Expired records stop granting access before the database's automatic cleanup deletes them. Submitted requests follow CaterBid's account and request retention policy.
The connector uses necessary session and authorization cookies. Its pages contain no advertising scripts. The dedicated proxy configuration suppresses URL access logs so authorization codes and address inputs do not enter those logs.
Your controls
You choose whether to connect a platform and separately confirm an exact event brief before submission. Disconnect from your connected platforms to stop further access through that grant. Signing out ends your CaterBid browser session; use Disconnect to revoke a platform connection.
Disconnecting does not delete a submitted request or copies already held by a platform. For access, correction, request cancellation or deletion assistance, contact concierge@cater-bid.com. Use the connected platform's privacy controls for its conversation and retained copies.
